MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — The trial of Maxwell Anderson has been pushed back several months.
Anderson is the 34-year-old Milwaukee man charged with murdering and dismembering 19-year-old Sade Robinson.
The victim, a student at Milwaukee Area Technical College, was reported missing in early April.
Anderson was arrested two weeks later, accused of killing Robinson after a date and dumping her body parts around Milwaukee County.
His jury trial was set to begin next week, but on Monday Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Laura Crivello granted a defense motion for an expert to review an analysis of Anderson’s phone.
Trial is now scheduled for May 27, with a scheduling conference and a pre-trial hearing in the months prior.
