GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A University of Wisconsin-Green Bay student involved in a drugs and weapon disturbance on campus was sentenced to six months in jail.
Joel Robinson-Sellers, 20, pleaded no contest Tuesday to possession with intent to deliver and carrying a concealed weapon for the Feb. 7, 2023, incident. Three other charges were dismissed, court records show.
In addition, he was placed on probation for three years by Judge Donald Zuidmulder, according to court records.
UWGB police responded to James Temp Hall shortly after 8 p.m. that day, as a man was pounding on doors repeatedly. Police say he appeared under the influence and they were sent to conduct a welfare check. Officers found Robinson-Sellers on the first floor and found prescription medications, suspected marijuana and suspected psilocybin mushrooms in his backpack.
While officers searched the backpack, they said a gun — commonly known as a “ghost gun” — fell from Robinson-Sellers. Officers also found a magazine, which they say was capable of holding 29 rounds.
UWGB Police seized the drugs, gun and cash from Robinson-Sellers; the student said the money was related to drug deals, according to the criminal complaint.
Robinson-Sellers explained his behavior by saying he drank an entire bottle of “Henny.”
