GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Green Bay police arrested a Green Bay man, 32, after responding to a call for a verbal disturbance at the A-1 Tower Motel, 2625 Humbolt Rd., on Sunday afternoon.
Officers report that witnesses heard yelling between the suspect and other people outside the motel, with the suspect making threats of violence with a knife in his possession.
The call to police came in around 2:45 p.m., but Green Bay Police Department SWAT and Crisis Negotiation Team were brought in to assist after the suspect went into his room in the motel with another person.
According to police, a peaceful surrender took place just before 5:45 p.m. with the suspect taken into custody. Police expect to refer charges to the Brown County District Attorney’s Office.
No injuries were reported.
