(WNFL) – Appleton North’s Ana Flanagan was the only northeast Wisconsin swimmer to be at the top of the awards stand when she took first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:03.20 at the WIAA Division 1 state swimming and diving meet in Waukesha on Saturday.
Flanagan won by .14 seconds over Annika Curran of Verona.
Flanagan also finished seventh in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of :23.69.
De Pere/West De Pere’s Carly Larson had a top 3 finish. She took third in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of :55.42.
Green Bay Southwest Co-op’s Ivana Neverman finished eighth in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:05.77.
Appleton North’s Maddie Loken, Flanagan, Elise Brazzale and Ashton Scoresby finished eighth in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:47.45. The same quartet took third in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:36.22.
Loken took fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.35.
Middleton won the team title with 334 points. Verona was second with 211.
Appleton North finished seventh with 107 points.
