ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Former President Donald Trump returned to the Green Bay area Wednesday.
Trump held a rally at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon.
Trump talked about the border, inflation, and much more.
“We will get critical race theory and transgender insanity the hell out of our schools and fast, and we will keep men out of women’s sports,” said Trump. “I will defend religious liberty, I will restore free speech, and I will defend the right to keep and bear arms.”
Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre joined him.
“Much like the Packer organization, Donald Trump and his organization is a winner, and the United States of America won with his leadership,” said Favre. “It would be insane to give Kamala four more years in office. So it’s time to bench Kamala and put in the star quarterback, Donald Trump.”
Wisconsin Democratic Coordinated Campaign Rapid Response Director Kristi Johnston released the following statement ahead of Trump’s rally in Ashwaubenon:
“Donald Trump is increasingly unstable and unhinged, focused on himself and his own grievances instead of American families. That is why Green Bay’s Republican state Senator Robert Cowles has joined with dozens of other Republicans, independents, and Democrats from across the state to endorse Vice President Harris. A second Trump term would rip away our reproductive rights and raise costs by nearly $4,000 a year on middle class families – that’s not what Green Bay voters are looking for.”
Trump has been in Wisconsin multiple times this month and last held a rally in Green Bay in April at the KI Convention Center.
Around the same time Wednesday, Vice President Kamala Harris will hosted a rally on the UW-Madison campus.
Then later this week, both presidential candidates will be Wisconsin again hosting dueling rallies in Milwaukee on Friday.
