Packers everywhere heads to the Windy City: Packers fans are invited to bring the spirit of Green Bay to Chicago a day early with a free Packers Everywhere pep rally at 6 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 16.
The festivities will take place at Will’s Northwoods Inn located at 3030 N Racine Ave., Chicago. Pre-rally festivities and prizing will begin at 4 p.m. Entry to the rally is available on a first-come, first-served basis. As space is limited, fans are encouraged to arrive at the venue early to ensure they can take part in the fun. The rally will take place outdoors, so fans are encouraged to dress for the weather.
Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy will take part in the pre-gameday excitement by greeting fans and participating in a Q-and-A session with Packers Everywhere host, Rebecca Zaccard. Packers alumni Frank Winters and Bill Schroeder will attend to socialize and take photos with fans and will share their thoughts on the next day’s game against the Bears.
A roundtable discussion with packers.com’s Wes Hodkiewicz and Mike Spofford will conclude the event.
Fans planning to attend the rally are encouraged to sign up in advance for Packers Pass to have a chance to win autographed Packers items such as a Jordan Love signed-helmet, Xavier McKinney signed-football, and other prizes.
To register for the opportunity to win prizes, fans should visit packers.com/pass/pep-rallies. Rally attendees must have their Packers Pass scanned on-site at the designated prizing area to see if they’ve won. Entrants must be present at the rally to win, and advance Packers Pass signup does not guarantee rally admission.
Put on your saddle shoes and James Dean leather jackets: The Green Bay Packers are set to once again wear their 50s Classic Uniforms this season, with the uniforms returning to Lambeau Field for the Week 9 matchup against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, Nov. 3.
The 50s Classic Uniform is inspired by the team’s uniforms from 1950-1953, which was the second time the team wore green and gold in its history. The uniforms are all green, with gold numbers and stripes, matching green pants with gold stripes, and green socks.
While the early 1950s were not a particularly successful time for the Packers on the field, it was the dawn of an extraordinarily eventful decade off the field, a decade that began with the departure of the team’s founder Curly Lambeau and ended with the arrival of Vince Lombardi. In the 1950s, the NFL was growing quickly and gaining nationwide interest through television exposure. The Packers organization was at a turning point and a franchise-saving stock sale helped lay the groundwork for the eventual construction of Lambeau Field and set up the team to stay in Green Bay through modern times.
A variety of items from the 50s Classic Collection are available for fans to purchase at the Packers Pro Shop, both in-store and online at packersproshop.com, including jerseys, t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, caps, knit hats, helmets, can coolers, decals, magnets, pennants and drinkware.
The NFL’s third jersey program permits teams to have a third jersey that they can wear for up to three games per season (no more than two home games) over a five-year period. The 50s Classic Uniform is in its fourth season, after debuting during the 2021 season.
