TWO RIVERS, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Thousands are estimated in damages after a ball diamond dugout catches fire in Two Rivers.
On Sun Oct. 27, Two Rivers Fire Department received a dispatch call to 1300 35th street for reported smoke and flames executing from a ball diamond dugout. Upon arrival, the crew discovered that the wood frame structure had become fully involved.
The firefighters were able to successfully knock down the fire in less than ten minutes, confirming to be fully put out by 2:52 pm.
Estimated property damage lies around $7000, according to Captain Patrick Krajnik of Two Rivers Fire Department.
The incident is currently under investigation.
