OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An arrest was made after cocaine, marijuana and more than $330,000 in cash was seized during a drug investigation in Oshkosh.
Based upon drug complaints from Oshkosh residents and a subsequent drug investigation, investigators were able to secure a search warrant at a residence in the 1700 block of Lombard Avenue on Thursday.
During that search, authorities found 30 grams of cocaine, 50 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and more than $3,000 in cash.
Later in the day, investigators executed another search warrant in the 1000 block of Mt. Vernon Street.
During the search of that residence, investigators recovered over $330,000 in cash, approximately 7.5 pounds of raw Marijuana/THC, over 1,000 THC cartridges and approximately one kilogram of cocaine.
Investigators also seized three vehicles which are believed to be purchased with proceeds from the sale and distribution of illegal drugs.
At this time, investigators are looking into several bank accounts which are thought to contain several hundred thousand dollars believed to be related to the sale and distribution of illegal drugs.
A 51-year-old Oshkosh man was taken into custody.
The case is being referred to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin for prosecution in the Federal Court system.
