FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) UPDATE: After hours of investigating, Fond du Lac police say they were able to identify a 52-year-old man as a person of interest in Sunday’s early morning shooting.
The man, who lives in Fond du Lac, was taken into police custody and a warrant was executed at his home and in a vehicle associated with the person f interest.
“Evidence of the shooting was located during the execution of the search warrant,” a press lease from police reads.
The man is being held in the Fond du Lac county jail on charges of first degree reckless endangering safety, first degree reckless injury, battery, disorderly conduct, and two misdemeanor counts of bail jumping.

Police are investigating a possible shooting in Fond du Lac early Sunday morning after receiving a call about an individual with apparent gunshot wounds.
Shortly after 2 a.m. officers responded to the parking lot of Hoppers Screen Printing + Embroidery after the Fond du Lac County Communications Center advised that someone may have been shot.
Upon arrival, offers discovered a 24-year-old male in the parking lot with a gunshot wound in the shoulder/arm. Officers started life-saving measures with the use of a tourniquet to stop blood loss.
The victim was flown to a local hospital for advanced medical treatment. They’re in stable condition.
Chief of Police Aaron Goldstein said evidence suggests the shooting is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.
FDLPD Detectives have begun processing evidence, conducting interviews, and reviewing various video surveillance to positively identify a person of interest. The investigation remains ongoing.
