(WTAQ-WLUK) — Efforts continue to send supplies from Wisconsin to hurricane-ravaged areas of the southeastern U.S.
The Neenah Police Department on Monday announced an effort to collect water and nonperishable food items to Hurricane Helene victims in North Carolina.
On Wednesday, trucking company N&M Transfer will park a semi trailer at Pick ‘n Save on Green Bay Road. Donations accepted include disinfectant wipes, paper towels, deodorant, soap, feminine products, nonperishable food, toilet paper and diapers. The Manna Food Bank will then receive the trailer and distribute the donated items.
The truck is scheduled to be parked at the grocery store from 8 a.m. until it is full.
Meanwhile, St. John’s Lutheran Church and School in Lomira also announced a supply drive. A trailer from Triple B Trucking will be in the parking lot at 558 Water St. this week. Donations will be accepted from 7-9 a.m. and 3-6 p.m. Monday through Friday, noon-1:30 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.-noon on Sunday.
Donations will be taken to Interfaith Assistance Ministries in Hendersonville, North Carolina and Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministries in Arden, North Carolina.
Monetary donations are also being collected.
