MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One person was injured and another was arrested following a “domestic violence situation” involving a firearm.
According to the Marinette Police Department, officers were dispatched to investigate a domestic violence situation that involved a firearm. During the course of the investigation, police determined there was evidence to support “numerous felony charges.”
“Based on the severity of the situation, the Marinette Special Response Team was activated to execute a search warrant at a residence,” a news release states.
One individual, 30, was taken into custody at the Marinette County Jail. Formal charges were forwarded to the Marinette County District Attorney’s Office.
The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries sustained during the incident.
Police say at no point was the public in danger and the matter is considered resolved.
