Game-changing technique at Woldt Farms: Green chopping
Joanna connected with Woldt Farms in Brillion, Wisconsin and talked with Jeff Evenson, dairy manager at Woldt Farms, and he shared how green chopping has been a game changer on their farm. He noticed the cows eating 2 pounds less of dry matter per cow and increased milk production of 2-3 pounds per cow. They also saw a 3/10 of a point increase in butterfat.
Jeff shares about when they started this adventure, species mix in the field and what cows eat the green chop.
