MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – While police were arresting a man wanted in connection with a Manitowoc shooting, more than a pound of cocaine was found inside the vehicle.
On Nov. 4, 2023, a person was shot in the 2700 block of Viebahn Street. The victim was taken to the hospital, while the suspect ran away.
The investigation led law enforcement to serve a search warrant in January in Indianapolis.
That’s when Clarence L. Holder, 59, and another woman were taken into custody.
Holder is charged with attempted homicide, attempted robbery, burglary and felon in possession of a firearm.
The woman who was previously charged in the case, had her charges dismissed after a judge ruled she was a bystander not a participant.
Last month, an arrest warrant was issued for a second suspect for his alleged involvement in the armed robbery. Police accuse the second suspect of conspiring with Holder to rob a Manitowoc man of money.
On Sunday, the United States Marshals Service assisted in locating and arresting the suspect in the town of Newton during a traffic stop.
At the time of the arrest, a Michigan man was also in the vehicle.
A K9 search of the vehicle turned up about 1.5 pounds of cocaine.
Both men were taken into custody. Charges have not been filed.
