(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – The Packers have had what some would consider more than their share of injuries already this pre- and regular season but on Sunday.
On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers lost wide receiver Christian Watson to a high ankle sprain.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said that he has confidence in wide receivers Bo Melton and Malik Heath if Watson can’t go this week.
LaFluer got into talking about errors made by the Packers during the game.
For example, there was Jordan Love’s last pick, which he could have thrown away or dumped off to other receivers.
LaFleur said they have to avoid repeated mistakes.
Those repeated mistakes are haunting them.
Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur said he doesn’t believe cornerback Jaire Alexander — who missed Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings with a combination of quad and groin injuries — will be out of the lineup long-term.
In fact, the Packers aren’t ruling out the possibility of him playing this week against the Los Angeles Rams. The Packers won’t practice again until Wednesday, when the first injury report of Week 5 arrives. A true update on Alexander’s status for Sunday might not arrive until the final injury report on Friday.
The Packers play the Los Angeles Rams in Los Angeles this Sunday afternoon.
