(MARQUETTE COMMUNICATIONS) NEW YORK – Freshmen goalkeeper Marten Brink of the Marquette men’s soccer program was honored by the BIG EAST for the second time this season. Brink has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending September 29, following a 2- 0 victory over Butler.
The Stukenbrock, Germany native faced 11 shots and tallied three saves on the night and recorded his fourth career clean sheet in the match vs the Bulldogs.
The 6’7 keeper is currently tied for second place in the BIG EAST in shutouts (4) and leads the league in saves (37) and saves per game (4.1).
The Golden Eagles are back in action at Seton Hall on Friday, October 4 at 5:56 pm CT at Owen T. Carroll Field in South Orange, NJ.
