(WNFL) – Week 4 rankings are out from the Wisconsin Boys Soccer State Rankings from the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association.
Marquette is ranked No. 1 in Division 1 with Sheboygan North ranked No. 10.
In Division 2, Cedarburg is ranked No. 1 with Pulaski dropping from No. 8 to No. 10.
Division 3 finds Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian ranked No. 1. Xavier is ranked No. 3 with Sheboygan Falls checking in at No. 9.
Shoreland Lutheran is ranked No. 1 in Division 4 with Kiel at No. 2 and Sturgeon Bay at No. 4.
Oddity: The Fox Valley Association has had a bevy of ties so far. As of Tuesday night, Sept. 24, the conference had no fewer than 12 ties.
Girls volleyball: Divine Savior Holy Angels is ranked No. 1 in Division 1 with Bay Port ranked sixth and Kaukauna earning honorable mention.
In Division 2, Luxemburg-Casco continues rolling along in the No. 1 spot with Fox Valley Lutheran ranked third. Waupaca which lost in 4 sets to FVL on Tuesday is ranked eighth. Winneconne and Shawano get honorable mention status.
Cuba City is No. 1 in Division 3.
Living Word Lutheran is the Division 4 top-ranked team. Wabeno/Laona is ranked fifth.
In Division 5, Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran is ranked No. 1. Sheboygan Lutheran is No. 2, Florence is No. 9 and Niagara has honorable mention status.
Boys volleyball: Sussex Hamilton is ranked No. 1. Kimberly is ranked fourth.
Girls golf: Like their volleyball counterparts, Divine Savior Holy Angels is ranked No. 1 in Division 1. Bay Port and Kaukauna are ranked fifth and sixth, respectively.
De Pere and Appleton North also received votes.
In Division 2, Edgewood is ranked No. 1. Marinette is ranked fourth. Seymour is ranked fifth.
Cross country: In boys Division 1, Stevens Point which won the Smiley Invitational at Wausau East this past Saturday is ranked No. 1. De Pere is ranked eighth, Green Bay Preble 13th and Neenah 14th.
In boys Division 2, West Salem is No. 1 with Little Chute ranked 14th.
In Division 3 boys, Cedar Grove-Belgium is ranked No. 1 with Bonduel ranked 15th.
Girls rankings finds Slinger ranked No. 1 in Division 1 with Neenah and Appleton North second and seventh, respectively. Kimberly is ranked tenth with Green Bay Preble, Notre Dame and Kaukauna ranked 14th, 18th and 19th, respectivily.
In Division 2, Bloomer is ranked No. 1 with Little Chute ranked second. Winneconne is ranked third.
In Division 3, Assumption is the No. 1 team with Valders fifth.
Running hot: De Pere’s Grady Lenn is building a resume that will make him a favorite at the WIAA state cross country meet. Lenn won this past Saturday’s Division 1 Smiley Invitational with a time of 15:25.3. He finished about 41 seconds ahead of second-place Ryan Lien of Shorewood.
On the girls side, Emerson Fabry of Pulaski finished second in the Division 1 Smiley with a time of 19:27.1 Fabry was just a smidge over 4 seconds behind Tessa Bruckhart of Stevens Point.
In Division 2/3, Ashley Wilson of Little Chute finished second behind Altoona’s Greta Peters. Teammates Lauren Wiegand and Sami Miller finished third and fourth.
