(247NEWSSOURCE) GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Packers ran for 261 yards during a 16-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts at Lambeau Field in a game they played without quarterback Jordan Love who sat out the game with a knee injury.
Josh Jacobs led the way with 151 yards on the ground, and Malik Willis tossed a touchdown pass during a ten-point first quarter.
Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks says that Malik Willis who was 12-of-14 for 122 yards had a strong game.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said that he was impressed by Willis.
Willis said that he had great support from the offensive line.
Jacobs who carried the ball 32 times talked about the game plan calling for a heavy dose of him running the ball.
Jacobs said that it was a great win.
The Colts got back into the game in the fourth quarter, but Anthony Richardson threw an interception on a Hail Mary attempt as time expired to give Green Bay the win.
The Packers improved to 1-and-1.
Richardson passed for 204 yards, a touchdown, and three interceptions, while Jonathan Taylor had 103 rushing yards.
The Colts are 0-and-2 for the first time since 2021.
