DE PERE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) –De Pere Fire Rescue and the Fox River West Fire District were dispatched Sunday morning after a passer-by noticed smoke and flames coming from a speculated vehicle or building on Red Maple Road.
Upon arriving to the scene, firefighters located flames spreading between a painting shop and plumbing shop, both being located inside connecting metal buildings.
De Pere Fire Rescue was able to successfully put out the fire with heavy cutting operations. 4 engine companies, 1 ladder company, and 1 ambulance were also of assistance.
It will take an estimate of 300k to repair the damages caused to the two businesses. There were no injuries reported.
The fire is currently under investigation, and no further information has been provided at this time.
