(WNFL) – The Milwaukee Brewers got a 2-run home run from Rhys Hoskins in the fourth inning and that was enough for them to defeat the Arizona Diamondbacks 2-1 in Phoenix on Friday
Hoskins’ home run came with 2 outs in the fourth inning with Gary Sanchez on first base.
Freddy Peralta started for the Brewers and pitched the first 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits and 4 walks. He struck out 5. With the win, Peralta improved his record to 11-8.
Joel Payamps, Jared Koenig, Trevor McGill and Devin Williams each pitched a scoreless inning to lock down the win. The quarter of reliever didn’t allow a hit, walked 2 and struck out 4. Williams earned his 12th save.
Eduardo Rodriguez took the loss for Arizona to fall to 2-3.
