(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – The Green Bay Packers decided not to play their starters in Sunday night’s pre-season game against the Denver Broncos while the Broncos played their starters into the second quarter.
The result was for the most part predictable as Denver defeated Green Bay 27-2.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said it was a long night.
LaFleur said that the team needs to get after it this week.
He added that it was not a good night for the offense.
LaFleur said there were no excuses for what happened out there.
Backup quarterbacks Michael Pratt and Sean Clifford both struggled. Pratt was 10-of-16 for 52 yards. Clifford was 6-of-10 for 43 yards.
