SHERMAN, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — A truck driver dies when his rig is struck by a train.
It happened Wednesday afternoon in the Sheboygan County town of Sherman.
A 66-year-old Kewaskum man driving the tanker truck hauling nearly five thousand gallons of liquid manure died at the scene.
The Wisconsin Southern train that hit the semi had six of its 22 cars derail, with one losing its load of plastic pellets.
The sheriff’s office said that the road where the crash happened may be closed for several days as crews clean up the scene.
There were no other injuries.
