GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) –An Oshkosh man has learned his sentence for trafficking drugs.
Sherman Threets, 39, was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in federal prison. He was convicted of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine.
Prosecutors say Threets was arrested in April 2022 after he sold drugs to undercover officers. A search found about 12 pounds of meth, more than a pound of cocaine and 100 grams of fentanyl, which he had stored at a home.
The arrest came only three months after he was released to a halfway house while serving a sentence for a previous drug trafficking conviction.
Prosecutors also say he tried to ask someone to “take the charges” by offering 15 kilograms of meth in exchange for lying to the court about where the drugs came from. That person turned out to be an undercover agent.
