(WTAQ-WLUK) — An Oconto man reported missing over the weekend was found dead in the U.P.
On Saturday, Dickinson County dispatch received a call from a woman who reported her husband missing. She told officials her 79-year-old husband went to the Norway area to ride his off-road dirt motorcycle for a few hours around 10 a.m. and didn’t return home.
She also said he suffered from a medical condition that required him to take medication.
Just before 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, the man’s vehicle and trailer were located at the ORV park and ride off the Norway Truck Trail.
Search teams and a drone team were called to the area.
The DNR airplane located the man’s body around 12:40 p.m. Sunday, not far from where he parked his car and trailer.
The cause of death was not released.
