KEWAUNEE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two people were injured after a boat struck the stone protective barrier, just north of the Kewaunee Lighthouse.
Just after 10:30 p.m. Thursday, the driver of the boat, a 58-year-old Mansheim, Minnesota man, stated he had struck the barrier and that there were four individuals on the boat.
The occupants of the boat were safely transported to shore where they were then treated. One person was transported to a medical facility in Green Bay with non-life-threatening injuries.
This incident remains under investigation by the Department Natural Resources.
