The Outagamie County Fair in Seymour, June 27, 2024. PC: Fox 11 Online
SEYMOUR, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An earlier date is proving to be a ‘fairly’ good move in Outagamie County.
The county is holding its 140th fair in Seymour now through Sunday, about a month earlier than usual.
Fair manager, Brian Stille, says the reason the county moved from a July fair to a June one was due to vendor availability.
So far, he says the change has been welcome.
“Actually the reception for the earlier fair has been really good. Our exhibitors are getting on board with it, a lot of those families that are involved and all the activities of the fair. What we’re hearing back at the office all the time is, ‘you know, I’m going to have a summer this year.’ So that actually might be a very positive change,” Stille said.
And because there are more vendors available at the end of June than in mid-July, Stille says there are double the vendors at the fair this year.
The Outagamie County Fair features carnival rides, fair food, animal showings, free entertainment, chainsaw wood carving demonstrations, pig, duck and goat racing, a tractor pull, spring and stock car racing, a demolition derby and more.
