(247NEWSSOURCE/LEARFIELD) MILWAUKEE – Andruw Monasterio hit a walk-off, RBI-single in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the Brewers past the Rangers 6-5 at American Family Field.
Monasterio says his role might not be a big one, but it could be worse.
Monasterio added that he has to be ready for anything.
Newly-acquired pitcher Dallas Kuechel started for the Brewers and allowed 5 runs on 8 hits and a walk over 4 innings. He struck out 4 and gave up 2 home runs.
Kuechel said there was no excuses.
Kuechel then offered this self-critique of his outing.
Jake Bauers belted a grand slam and Jackson Chourio had an inside-the-park homer for the Crew, who swept the three-game series and have won four straight overall.
The Brewers have the day off Thursday before hosting the Chicago Cubs on Friday.
