APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A man was arrested after police say there was a disturbance at Erb Park in Appleton.
Officers were called for a report of shots fired near the park pavilion about 8:14 p.m. Tuesday.
When they got on scene, they determined there weren’t any injuries or damage.
A handgun was recovered.
The suspect, 19-year-old Tyreese Tupac Shakir Simmons, was taken into custody.
Police are recommending multiple charges, including felony bail jumping, felon in possession of a firearm, disorderly conduct and second degree recklessly endangering safety.
Formal charges have not been filed.
