APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The city of Appleton put the breaks on Bird scooters.
The city council passed the ordinance prohibiting short-term rental of electric scooters to the general public at its meeting Wednesday.
Last month, Appleton city officials said several issues have come up in regards to bringing the scooters back, including concerns with scooter parking and docking.
Meanwhile, nearby Neenah recently agreed to bring the scooters back and Green Bay has had them since 2021.
