WAUKEGAN, Ill. (WTAQ-WLUK) — Officials have confirmed a severed human arm found on a northern Illinois beach earlier this year belonged to Sade Robinson.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office announced Tuesday that DNA testing verified the arm discovered in Waukegan in mid-May was Robinson’s, WITI-TV reports.
Robinson was a 19-year-old Milwaukee woman reported missing April 2. That same day, one of her legs was found near Lake Michigan in Cudahy. More body parts believed to belong to Robinson, which included a torso and an arm, were recovered April 18 in South Milwaukee. Police have not yet found all of Robinson’s remains.
33-year-old Maxwell Anderson is accused of killing and dismembering Robinson after a first date. He has plead not guilty to charges of first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse and arson. Anderson is being held on a $5 million bond.
Surveillance video from a restaurant showed Robinson and Anderson sitting together at the bar on the evening of April 1. Her burned car was found the next morning. Prosecutors say GPS records place Anderson at Robinson’s home the night she disappeared.
