FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A 35-year-old man is in custody following an extended police chase in Fond du Lac.
Fond du Lac police responded to a home on the 600 block of East Merrill Avenue Monday afternoon for a report of a man who was destroying property and possibly assaulted someone inside the home.
As police arrived scene, they received reports that the 35-year-old suspect was being driven to the hospital by his girlfriend.
Officers responded to the hospital and found the suspect acting erratic and later slammed his girlfriend into the side of the vehicle, got into the driver’s seat, and sped off.

The suspect’s vehicle was later found crashed on a golf cart bridge on the golf course.
