The news was positive for the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday as the MRI scan on superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo was negative for any damage to his Achilles tendon. A serious left calf strain was the diagnosis for Giannis who will sit out the rest of the regular season which has only two games remaining. He’ll be afforded even more rest as the NBA conducts it’s play in games next week before the first round of the post-season begins. Even better news was delivered by the performance at Fiserv Forum Thursday night as the Bucks knocked off the Orlando Magic 117-99, beating a team trying to chase them down in the Eastern Conference pecking order. Bobby Portis went off for a career high 30 points, playing solidly on both ends of the floor coming up with a handful of steals as well. Damian Lillard added 29 as the Bucks improved to 49-31. They’ll finish the regular season at Oklahoma City Friday night and then get a rematch with the Magic in Orlando on Sunday. If the Bucks win one of the last two, they’ll lock up the number two seed in the East.
