MANITOWOC COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A drug investigation in Manitowoc County resulted in a federal court conviction and a nearly decade-long prison sentence.
Frederick W. Scheuers II was sentenced Thursday to 112 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release. He was found guilty of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
In June 2023, the Manitowoc County Metro Drug Unit and the DEA Green Bay Resident Office initiated an investigation into Scheuers II. Officials say he regularly traveled to the Manitowoc area for the purpose of distributing methamphetamine and cocaine.
Investigators conducted a controlled purchase of cocaine from Scheuers II within the city of Manitowoc. He was arrested in July 2023 “for possession of approximately a half-pound of methamphetamine, one ounce of cocaine, as well as THC products and drug paraphernalia.”
