NEENAH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The first robot of its kind in Wisconsin is working in the hallways of a Neenah hospital.
ThedaCare introduced Moxi, a pair of robots brought in to do delivery, non-patient-care tasks.
These include carrying patient belongings, medications and other items and bringing them to another location in the hospital.
Grace Gonzalez, VP of nursing for ThedaCare’s southern region, says Moxi saves staff time.
“Just knowing that when we have her here, our teams don’t have to run and get medications or send medications or run to the lab because Moxi can do that for us so that means that we’re with our patients more and that is our goal,” she said.
Every two weeks, the hospital analyzes the data from Moxi to see how many hours she saved staff, which staff members use her most and for what tasks so they can continue to make Moxi more efficient.
