(WTAQ-WLUK) — Northeast Wisconsin’s most recent winter storm brought the snow — and the wind.
Snowfall totals from Tuesday and Wednesday reached as high as 9.5 inches in Pulcifer in Shawano County. Appleton saw 7.8 inches, Green Bay 6.5 and Oshkosh 5.8.
The April storm also packed a punch with winds. A gust of 56 mph was recorded in Green Bay, with winds reaching 46 mph in Oshkosh.
With temperatures in the 30s, the snow was wet and heavy. That, combined with the winds, knocked down trees and power lines, cutting electrical service to tens of thousands of people across Northeast Wisconsin.
