MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin says she remains committed to restoring Roe vs. Wade as codified law.
The Democrat who’s running for a third term says Republican challenger Eric Hovde has previously ran on a strong pro-life stance, much like former President Trump.
“He said he was 100% opposed to abortion rights. And does this sound familiar? Donald Trump was saying similar things. I take them at their word,” said Baldwin.
Baldwin’s comments in Wausau on Wednesday came just a few days after Republican Senate candidate Eric Hovde launched a new ad saying he now supports exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of a mother, while also saying there is a “reasonable timeframe” for a woman to choose.
