After a slow start in Cactus League play this spring, the Milwaukee Brewers have heated up just as they are about to break camp in the desert. Milwaukee rolled Arizona 14-4 on Sunday as Willy Adames crushed three home runs and drove in 6. D.L. Hall got in a quality start in his final spring tune-up as the Brewers improved to 14-14. They will take on the Colorado Rockies on Monday. The Brewers open the regular season on Thursday afternoon against the New York Mets at Citi Field.
Brandon Woodruff announced over the weekend he will not return until the 2025 season. Woodruff had major shoulder surgery last October and both he and the club were hopeful he might be able to get back on the mound late this season but that won’t be the case. The Brewers brought him back on a two year, 17.5 million dollar contract in February and they hope he can return to form for the second year of that deal.
