GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Five games into the best-of-seven battle in the “Jeopardy!” Tournament of Champions finals, it’s still anyone’s game.
Green Bay native Ben Chan, who went on a nine-game streak last spring, is competing against six-game champion Troy Meyer and three-game champion Yogesh Raut in the game show’s most prestigious contest.
Chan, a St. Norbert College philosophy professor, was the first contestant to two wins — both of which were miraculous $1 victories in Final Jeopardy. Chan had a chance to end the tournament Monday, but Raut ran away with the game, securing his second victory. Meyer, meanwhile, has one win.
Either Chan or Raut could take the title today. However, if Meyer comes out on top, the tournament would be tied at 2:2:2 and proceed to the deciding match Wednesday.
