WINNEBAGO COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — It’s a sign of spring in Northeast Wisconsin.
Winnebago County officials say weekly outdoor warning siren tests will begin at noon March 16. The tests are scheduled to take place every Saturday at least through September.
Tests will be canceled if there is severe weather or other serious conditions.
Emergency management officials remind people that the sirens are meant to alert people who are outdoors to seek shelter. Indoor preparedness can be enhanced with a NOAA Weather Radio.
