CLINTONVILLE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The layoffs announced last week at H&S Manufacturing will result in 42 jobs being eliminated, according to a notice filed with the state.
Last week it was reported that the Clintonville facility will close due to a consolidation of operations to its Marshfield facility.
Since then, a layoff notice was filed with the state Dept. of Workforce Development, indicating 42 positions will be eliminated.
“Immediately following the announcement, one-on-one meetings were held with employees to discuss what their future with H&S Manufacturing would be, whether it was letting them know that their employment would end in 60 days, if we needed them to stay longer than 60 days, a relocation option, or a retention bonus,” wrote human resource manager Buffy Hasenohrl.
According to its website, the company makes a variety of farm implements, including bale processors, mixers, hay tedders, and rakes.
