FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A new hospital is breaking ground in Fond du Lac.
The newly combined health system of Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Inc. held a ceremony for its new $35 million facility at 755 W. Johnson Street Tuesday.
The site will include a 25,000 square-foot hospital and outpatient care services to expand access to care for those living in the region.
At the beginning of this year, Appleton-based ThedaCare and Milwaukee-based Froedtert finalized their merger to become one health system.
The partnership also has plans to build a new hospital in Oshkosh at a site along the Fox River, west of Jackson Street and north of W. 9th Avenue.
The Fond du Lac health campus is expected to be complete in 2025.
