Milwaukee Bucks
Doc Rivers was on the bench for the first time as the new Head Coach of the Milwaukee Bucks but his debut was spoiled Monday night by the defending NBA Champion Nuggets in Denver 113-107. The Bucks were led by Giannis Antetokounmpo with 29 points and 12 rebounds, Brook Lopez put up 19 while Damian Lillard added 18. Rivers said his team played excellent defense but late turnovers proved costly in a hit and miss offensive performance. Jamaal Murray led Denver with 35 while Nikola Jokic piled up a triple double with 25 points, 16 rebounds and 12 assists. Milwaukee drops to 32-15 on the season which still leads the NBA’s Central Division. The Bucks will play game two of a five game road trip out west with a stop in Portland against the Trailblazers on Wednesday night.
