This was one of those nights for the Milwaukee Bucks. In Cleveland to take on a Cavaliers team that was riding a five game winnings streak, playing without Giannis Antetokounmpo who was a late scratch because of a bruised shoulder, the Bucks suffered the worst loss in Head Coach Adrian Griffin’s baptismal season, 135-95. It didn’t take long to realize this was going to be a long night. Milwaukee missed nine of it’s first 10 shots from the floor while the Cavaliers knocked down 8 of their first 9 including a couple of three’s and raced out to a 22-2 lead. Milwaukee closed the gap to 10 by the end of the first quarter but Cleveland reasserted themselves and turned the game into a rout. The Cavs wound up shooting 59% from the floor and dished out a whopping 39 assists. The Bucks were led by Damian Lillard with 17 points, Bobby Portis had 16 and Pat Connaughton delivered 15 off the bench. Khris Middleton scored all of 2 points, going 1 for 10 from the floor. As bad as it was, the Bucks still lead the Central Division at 28-13 and they’ll have a chance to get right taking on the lowly Detroit Pistons in the Motor City on Saturday night.
