GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – With the Packers punching their ticket to the playoffs, fans are trying to do the same.
Packers fans are beginning to anticipate how much it would cost to watch the Green and Gold take on the Cowboys in the Lone Star State Sunday.
John Schmidt with Schmitty’s Tickets says ticket prices for a seat at AT&T Stadium are between roughly $300 to $350. For people who are interested in paying less, standing room only tickets are going for about $150.
“It’s warm there, it’s in a dome. They know what they’re getting for weather.”
If the Packers would’ve played in Detroit, prices would have been even higher than in Dallas.
“Smaller stadium, would’ve been about $100 a piece higher, but Detroit fans are hungry for the playoffs,” said Schmidt.
In terms of catching a flight and staying at a hotel, travel experts say it could cost you and a guest more than $1,000.
That’s if they choose to fly out of Austin Straubel or Appleton International Airport. With no non-stop flights to Dallas from either airport, travelers should be prepared for layovers.
“Most folks that fly out of Northeastern Wisconsin will have a stop in Chicago or Minneapolis,” said James Montie with Fox World Travel in Appleton.
Travel agents say it’s best for fans to act now if they plan on traveling to Dallas.
“If you get a quote from a travel agent and you wait 24 to 48 hours, that price may change,” said Rhonda Matzke, the owner of Destination Travel in De Pere.
“As the supply lowers, the price will go up. So, I encourage people to figure out their travel accommodations as soon as they can,” said Montie.
A win by the Packers on Sunday will have fans booking their next playoff trip to San Francisco.
