FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Daniel Enright was convicted Wednesday of setting multiple fires in Fond du Lac County, and will be sentenced March 1.
Enright, 40, pleaded guilty to two counts of intentionally setting fire to someone else’s land, and one count of arson of property other than a building. Four other counts were dismissed, court records show.
The charges stem from fires between March 2020 and April 2022.
According to the criminal complaint, Enright admitted lighting the fires.
“He lit fires to relieve stress and some of his stress started with the birth of his child three years ago,” prosecutors say in the document.
The fires were lit in marshy and grassy areas.
The complaint does not say what led investigators to Enright.
