APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Appleton firefighters are stressing the importance of renter’s insurance and working smoke detectors after a fire caused about $75,000 worth of damage.
Crews were called to a structure fire around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 3300 block of Friendly Street.
Upon arrival, smoke and flames were visible from a storage shed spreading to a manufactured home.
The fire was brought under control within 10 minutes.
Officials are working to determine a cause and working smoke alarms were not found inside the residence.
No injuries were reported.
