FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Police are recommending a prison inmate be charged with the death of a fellow inmate at Taycheedah Correctional Institution.
Cindy Schulz-Juedes was found unresponsive in her cell in July. Efforts to revive her failed.
Fond du Lac police, who investigated the death, announced Friday that they have recommended first-degree intentional homicide charges against a 27-year-old inmate. Police did not release any details about how the inmate allegedly killed Schulz-Juedes. No formal charges have been filed so far.
Online state prison records indicate the suspect inmate was moved from Taycheedah to a supervised living facility in July, just after Schulz-Juedes’ death.
Schulz-Juedes was convicted in Marathon County of her husband’s 2006 murder in October 2021. In June 2022, she was sentenced to life without the eligibility of parole.
