ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Packers are working on their next development project for the Titletown District as plans have been submitted to the Village of Ashwaubenon for a fitness center with potentially two restaurants or shops.
There isn’t much land left to develop in the 45-acre Titletown District, but the Packers confirm plans are being finalized for one remaining acre that is currently empty.
A village committee will be taking up the plans at a meeting next week.
The new building is proposed for the west end of the district. It would be just east of the U.S. Venture office building.
One of the goals of the Titletown District is to provide visitors with such a good time they want to live in the district. That is what happened this week when Ovi Singh, 11, and his family moved into the Titletown Flats.
“I’ve been coming here for like three years and I love it,” said Singh.
Singh says adding a large fitness center would make the district even better.
“There’s like this smaller thing inside the building,” said Singh of the workout facility in Titletown Flats. “It has like a few Peloton bikes, these yoga balls and everything. It’s not very big.”
The building plans submitted to the Village of Ashwaubenon call for a two-story, 46,048 square foot building.
“I think it’s going to fit in well architecturally with what we have going on there with Titletown,” said Aaron Schuette, Ashwaubenon Community Development Director. “It will be a really nice kind of capstone to the office building and the podium, kind of frame that in.”
FOX 11 asked the Packers for an interview on what’s next for Titletown. They sent us the following statement,
“Titletown Development is in the process of finalizing plans for the latest building to be constructed in Titletown. The proposed building, which will consist of two stories and 46,000 square feet, will be located east of the US Venture Center along Lombardi Avenue and connected to the podium. Possible tenants may include a fitness center, as well as other commercial uses. Titletown Development is looking forward to completing plans and announcing details later this fall.”
That likely won’t be the last development announcement for Titletown, as two empty acres remain beyond the site for the potential fitness center.
