(WNFL) – The Milwaukee Brewers wrapped up their road trip with a 4-0 win over the Philadelphia Phillies Thursday afternoon.
Corbin Burnes was brilliant, allowing 2 hits and 1 walk over 8 innings while striking out 10.
Abner Uribe pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing 1 walk while striking out 3.
Christian Yelich put the Brewers ahead 3-0 in the third inning on a 3-run home run, scoring Andruw Monasterio and Brice Turang.
Milwaukee added another run in the seventh inning on a single by William Contreras that scored Monasterio.
Tijuan Walker took the loss for Philadelphia. He allowed 4 runs in 6 innings.
The Brewers return home to American Family Field to open a 3-game weekend series with the Atlanta Braves on Friday.
