GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Green Bay Packers organization is one step closer to being able to present 4K video to fans at Lambeau Field.
Testing of the new video board on the stadium’s north end could be seen Tuesday.
The 220-by-48-foot boards are being installed behind each end zone to replace the previous 10-year-old video boards. The Packers organization believes they will be the first in the NFL to offer 4K video resolution.
The new video boards are part of a stadium renovation project funded by the team’s most recent stock sale. It includes new scoreboards on the east and west sides of the stadium as well as concourse improvements meant to enhance the fan experience and speed up concessions.
The first major Lambeau Field event of the season, Packers Family Night, is Aug. 5.
