OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Mandel Roy was sentenced Friday to seven years in prison for his role in the death of a man outside a Neenah tavern.
Roy, 28, was also placed on extended supervision for five years by Judge Daniel Bissett, court records show. Originally charged with felony murder, Roy pleaded no contest to first-degree recklessly endangering safety.
Terran Colwell was previously sentenced to three years in prison for her role in the April 2021 murder of Rodger Ridgeway.
According to the criminal complaint, Ridgeway’s mother got into a confrontation with those inside a bar. After he arrived, there was another altercation, and Ridgeway was stabbed.
“The evidence obtained by Neenah Police Department investigators shows that Mandel Roy began fighting with (Ridgeway), committing at least a battery, using a blunt weapon. Terran Colwell also became involved in the fight likely stabbing (Ridgeway) with a knife, causing injuries that resulted in (Ridgeway‘s) death. Roy and Caldwell continue to fight with (Ridgeway) even after his apparent attempt to get away, “ Roy‘s criminal complaint states.
Ridgeway suffered five stab wounds to the upper chest and neck areas.
